PRE-PROCEDURE STEPS
Prior to your appointment you will be advised to start using medicated olive oil drops/spray
once per day for 5 days before your appointment. This is used to soften the earwax so that
the procedure can be as effective and comfortable as possible.

EAR IRRIGATION
Irrigation is a safe and effective earwax removal method because it uses a controlled flow of body temperature water. Using an electronic ear irrigation machine the water is gently flushed through the ear canal at a controlled and steady rate, dislodging the earwax which is captured in a tank.
MICRO SUCTION
Micro suction the latest and most widely used earwax removal method. A gentle and safe procedure which involves using a fine suction probe which is inserted into the ear canal, designed to vacuum the earwax away.
Your ear care specialist will determine which method of earwax removal is required based upon your medical questionnaire and ear examination.

COST
The cost of ear wax removal is £60 for either one or both ears.
If there is no wax blocking your ears on your appointment a complete ear health examination will be performed, which costs £20.
Additional costs apply for a home visit appointment.
